OUR HISTORY

The Upland Police Officers Association was incorporated in December of 1984. The purpose of this association is to engage in any lawful act or activity for which a corporation may be organized under the California Non-profit mutual benefit corporation law. The specific purpose of this corporation is to advance the professional, educational, economic and social welfare of its members; to improve the fraternity and working conditions, of its members; to improve the health and comfort of its members; and to achieve these and all other purposes and objectives through legal and other appropriate means beneficial to the collective membership.

The Upland Police Officers Association was founded in 1984 and recognized by the City of Upland in 1984 as the bargaining group representing all sworn members of the Upland Police Department below the rank of sergeant. Our goal in the Upland Police Officers’ Association is to partner with the community to provide quality police services and to ensure each of our members have the training, equipment and support necessary to safely and efficiently serve our community. Members of Upland Police Officers Association have proudly served the community since its incorporation in 1906.

The Upland Police Officers Association is passionate about investing in our youth in Upland. We create opportunities for young community members through Shop with a Cop, providing funding for students at multiple schools to attend science camp, youth sports programs and participating in active shooter training at Upland High School. Our youth is the future of Upland, so we believe that we are investing in our city's future by investing in our youth.
